FourQuarters has partnered with an established, industry leader providing operational and transport services to the construction and mining industry across Western Australia. Located in Perth’s southern suburbs, this organisation is experiencing a period of growth.

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a temporary assignment with the potential to go permanent.

The role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you be responsible for supporting the day to day financial operations and various projects.

• Review and reconcile purchase and invoices.
• Analyse associated costs for projects and ad hoc jobs, including profit and loss.
• Oversee and authorise labour costs on projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers ensuring on costing for projects.
• Processing of weekly payroll including payroll expenses and journal entries.
• Support the Group Financial Controller with month end closing including monthly reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions.

To be considered

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining services and equipment sector.
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with project teams.
• Proficient knowledge of MYOB or similar ERP.
• As an individual you will possess a high attention to detail with the ability to adapt and be collaborative.
