About the role

Coast and Country Community Services is seeking Assisted School Travel and NDIS Drivers to join our team in Sanctuary Point area. This part-time role involves providing safe and reliable transportation services for students with disabilities and clients accessing NDIS services.

What you'll be doing

• Transporting students with disabilities to and from school using a specialised vehicle
• Providing transportation services for NDIS clients to and from appointments and activities
• Assisting clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including using any necessary mobility equipment
• Ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained, clean and safe for all passengers
• Communicating effectively with students, clients, their families and school/NDIS representatives
• Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and procedures
• Using transport and client management technologies (smart phones, tablets and apps) to complete service provisions

What we're looking for

• Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (minimum of Class C) that you have held for a minimum 12 months, with a safe driving history (required to provide)
• Experience in transporting passengers with disabilities, preferably in an educational or community services setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clients
• Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with additional needs
• First aid certification and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Working with Children and National Police Checks
