The Distributors is a National Wholesale Distribution Network business with a great work culture seeking an energetic individual to join a supportive, friendly team in Macquarie Park.
On a day-to-day basis you would be responsible for:
- Delivering profitable sales and business development.
- Fostering existing and new customer partnerships.
- Administration of customer ranging, pricing, and promotions.
Your Key Focus Areas would be:
New Business Development:
- Identify and Target Opportunities:
Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within key accounts, including range expansion, distribution growth, and promotional activities.
- Lead Generation and Canvassing:
Actively canvass new business opportunities across categories and the marketplace, leveraging industry insights and competitor analysis.
- Strategic Account Acquisition:
Develop and implement strategic plans to acquire and onboard new key accounts, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.
- Profitability and Growth:
Identify ways to drive profitable customer growth through new business channels and opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts.
- Conduct regular account reviews.
- Representing The Distributors at industry functions and trade shows.
Promotion Coordination:
- Coordinate promotions across the group customer base (Customer/Supplier).
- Ensure promotions management, coordination, and communication within agreed timelines.
Effective Communication:
- Maintain effective, on-time communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Demand Management and Supply Allocations:
- Manage demand and supply allocations to meet customer needs efficiently.
Account and Customer Administration:
- Handle accounts and customer administration tasks, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Maintain customer work-in-progress files for regular review.
Customer Business Coordination:
- Support TD Members and National Support Office in aligning with the customer's strategy.
- Aid suppliers with account planning.
Account Analysis:
- Conduct account analysis as required to support business development and customer strategies.
DIFOT Improvement:
- Drive improvement in Delivery In Full, On Time (DIFOT) metrics.
Support National Business Development:
- Provide support to national business development initiatives and projects.
Who are we looking for?
- Candidates with a background in new business development within the FMCG industry.
- With strong relationship management, business development, and account administration skills.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be proficient in account analysis and strategic planning.
- Be able to work from the Macquarie Park office.
