Workfast is looking for a Boilermaker for an immediate start temp to perm opportunity for a valued client based in Bassendean, WA.

What you need

• Australian Driver's License
• Trade Certificate in one of the following or equivalent:
  MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)
  AUM30218 Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations - Bus, Truck and Trailer
• High Risk Work License – Forklift
• Confined Space EntryGas Test Atmosphere
• Working Safely at Heights
• Elevated Work Platform (desirable)
• Overhead Crane (desirable)

What you will be doing

This position exists to manufacture vehicle bodies in preparation for paint and fit out, and ensures production
runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.

• Undertakes tasks assigned by the fabrication supervisor.
• Carries out assigned fabrication and welding work in accordance with drawings, specifications, weld procedures and client work instructions.
• Coordinate and inspect JD-009-FAB Welder tasks.
• Manufacture of sub-assemblies and components for job builds.
• Identify materials and components using item lists, bill of material, picking slips and other parts lists.
• Undertakes spotting for confined space entry activities.
• Prepares material requisitions for job.
• Completes required safety documentation, including workings at heights permits and confined space permits.
• Supervises and trains apprentices when they are assigned to this position.
• Contribute to continual improvement via the Engineering Job Requests (EJR’s) and product improvements.
• Factory housekeeping including keeping bay area clean and tidy
• General maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Duties and tasks may be altered from time to time to suit operational requirements.
