About the role:
Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their growing team and support the efficient management of their financial operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounting skills to contribute to a meaningful mission while helping scale an innovative finance platform.

Duties:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, GST, payroll, intercompany, and other control accounts.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Process vendor, contractor, and client invoices and payments.
• Manage client queries and ensure timely accounts receivable management.
• Process monthly payroll and ensure compliance with laws and timely superannuation payments.
• Assist with GST returns, BAS/IAS filings, and variance analysis.
• Help with budget monitoring, ad-hoc analysis, and other accounting tasks.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3-5 years’ experience (fintech preferred)
• CA/CPA certification is a plus
• Proficiency in Xero & Employment Hero
