Position Description

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for optimizing project processes to improve efficiency and quality, while assisting in the design, implementation, and managment of civil engineering projects to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. You will also conduct site inspections, provide technical support, and prepare documentation.

You will be required to

• Analyse civil engineering conditions based on client-provieded sketches,charts, tables,design, schemes and construction drawings, providing preliminary preparation suggestions during construction.
• Use design software(e.g.,AutoCAD,Vertex BD) to review structural calculations and modeling, provide technical guidance for construction, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Estimate labour and material costs, ensuring project budgets align with specifications and contract terms.
• Maintain communication with clients, civil engineer and construction teams, coordinate construction progress and technical requirements to ensure smooth project completion.
• Ensuring that works in progress are in compliance with specified, planned and statutory requirements, and that a safe work environment is maintained on site.
• Prepare technical documents such as construction drawings, specification and reports.
• Perform regular quality inspections, document findings and recommend improvements.
• Support civil engineers in project planning and execution.
• Assist with development approvals, building permits and other necessary documentation.

Skills required

1. At least 4 years exprience in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
3. Excellent technical skills with experience in CAD and other engineering and project management tools.
4. A strong commitment to teamwork and delivering high quality outcomes.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
6. Passion for continuous learnging and professional growth.
