Utilise your customer service skills to provide front-line customer service support at the Charles Darwin University (CDU) Casuarina Campus.

About the Position

As a Student Advisor, you will provide front-line customer service within the Future Students and Admissions Team, proactively engaging with prospective and current students through phone calls, emails, and other enquiry channels. You will offer clear and supportive guidance, helping students navigate the application and enrolment process and take the next step in their education journey.

This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of students, and a customer-centric mindset that ensures every interaction is personalised, informative, and solution-oriented.

You will play a key role in outbound communication campaigns, helping to nurture prospective student leads and provide end-to-end support. You will also contribute to enhancing outreach strategies, identifying opportunities to improve student engagement, and streamlining processes to maximise campaign effectiveness.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the Admissions Team in assessing and processing applications, working to provide a seamless experience for applicants.

About You

To be successful, you will require:

  • Completion of Year 12 and/ or Certificate IV in a nationally accredited Qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with students over the phone and through email, providing clear and professional responses, and convey complex information in an accessible way.
  • Experience working in a customer service team, preferably within the education sector, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality support to a diverse range of clients.
  • Proven commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of regulatory requirements in a dual-sector university customer service environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to identifying opportunities for process improvement, ideally in a contact centre or student engagement environment.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 4/5. The base salary will be in the range of $67,800 to $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,326 to $99,349 per annum including 17% superannuation.
