Are you an Experienced Disability Support Worker looking to join an energetic, values-based team?

The position:

Join the team at Young Mindz as a SIL House Leader, where you'll play a key role in delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL) services and our Mindful Mentor programs, which include mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. In this role, you'll help individuals with disabilities foster emotional and psychological growth, building their confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills.

You'll also be responsible for supporting participants with their daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and routine building.

The roster:

You will work on a rotating schedule of 1 week on (Sunday to Sunday) followed by 1 week off. During your on week, you will provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) support for periods during the day and stay overnight for sleepover shifts in the SIL house for 7 consecutive nights. The second week will be your rostered time off.

What we are looking for

• Blue Card, WWCC and NDIS Screening/Yellow Card
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Drivers licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

• Cert IV in mental health or equivalent

• Experience working with high-intensity and complex behaviour clients
• A minimum of 2-years as a disability support worker
• You have or can obtain the following:
• Ideal but not mandatory:
• Strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with technology.
