We’re seeking two experienced Linux Systems Administrators to join our dedicated team. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing the Linux-based infrastructure that supports vital defence operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems and associated tools
• Support infrastructure automation using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with stringent security requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust system solutions
• Contribute to incident management and resolution in a high-pressure environment
• Document processes and systems to maintain operational excellence
• Ability to work within a secure environment and adhere to strict security protocols

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience: 3+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator
• Linux expertise: Strong knowledge of RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
• Networking fundamentals: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
• Security awareness: Familiarity with hardening Linux systems and managing vulnerabilities
• Scripting skills: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar
• Monitoring tools: Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms
• Version control: Exposure to Git, SVN, or similar tools

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, KVM)
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
• Prior experience in the defence or a similarly secure environment
