Northern Territory PHN leads the development and coordination of an equitable, comprehensive primary health care system and an engaged health workforce driven by community needs.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Workforce Engagement Team Lead, the primary focus of the Health Workforce Coordinator is to coordinate and administer workforce support programs as contracted to NT PHN. This includes fellowship support and administration of workforce incentive programs.
The Health Workforce Coordinator will understand the scope of other program areas to be well positioned to provide support as required including grant management or program administration. The role will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the program and implement quality improvement processes and procedures as required.
It is intended that the scope of the Health Workforce Coordinator’s responsibility is flexible depending on program needs or if contractual obligations change.
If you have the following skills and experience, we’d love to chat:
- Knowledge or training equivalent to certificate IV in business or health or other related field; and/or relevant, equivalent expertise and experience.
- Experience in working within established budgets and contributing to resource management as required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively and maintain productive and professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- High-level organisational skills and a track-record of taking initiative and meeting timelines with limited supervision and with a high attention to detail.
- Track record in general administrative project support including task prioritisation, correspondence and reporting, document preparation, data entry and maintaining electronic, hardcopy and archived files as required.
- Evidence of contribution to continuous improvement including database management, record management and contributing to the evaluation of projects and activities.
