The role

The Principal, Infrastructure Design - Building Engineering has a crucial role in supporting teams working on existing and new developments to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and industry best practice. You will provide direction in the development, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure design and Critical Infrastructure team services to enhance the capability and capacity of the division.

Success in this role will be achieved through being a subject matter expert in a range of technical areas for the whole asset lifecycle, and by being able to provide advice on all aspects of the critical infrastructure team strategies. Through providing high quality client focussed technical advisory services to the HHS's, you would have built strong stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of contemporary health services.

The successful applicant will utilise resources within the Critical Infrastructure team to provide timely, accurate and quality support to the Senior Director who of which you will assist on day-to-day activities such as committees, programs, and other related meetings. The role will require you to research and analyse of trends in infrastructure delivery and emerging industry trends in technical and engineering services.

The successful person

To be successful in obtaining this position, you would have demonstrated ability to provide well considered technical advice based on clear analysis of health service requirements in a complex organisational environment.

You will have a well-informed strategic perspective on building and engineering services and knowledge of government policy. It is essential for you to have proven high-level experience and knowledge around program and project management principles, methodologies, and standards.

Whilst not a mandatory requirement, a relevant qualification in electrical and/or mechanical engineering would be well regarded.
