About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract, focusing on automation, CI/CD pipeline optimisation, and infrastructure delivery. You’ll be instrumental in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable and robust systems in a cloud environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and scripting in Bash and Python.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve development and deployment speed.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and automate deployment processes.
• Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to support automation tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure effective infrastructure support.
• Continuously enhance deployment strategies, monitoring, and logging.
• Use Git for version control and ensure that all deployments are tracked and managed correctly.
• Deliver solutions within agreed timelines, balancing quality and efficiency.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and best practices.
• Skilled in Git for source control management.
• Scripting experience with Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality work on time.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc).
