About the role

COMB Construction is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our team. As Site Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne .

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and direct a team of construction workers, tradespeople, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks
• Coordinate and schedule all site activities, including the delivery of materials, allocation of labour, and management of equipment
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to address any concerns or queries
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to the construction team as needed
• Mentor and develop less experienced members of the construction team

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a Site Foreman in high end residential construction, having started as a carpenter.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
