We are thrilled to parter with our Client who is the fastest growing major Motor and Home insurer in Australia. Due to significant growth we are seeking trade qualified Panel Beaters/Spray Painters and/or experienced Motor Assessors to join their business. This is also a great opportunity if you are an Estimator on the smash repair side with quoting experience looking to get off the tools as they provide full training.
As a Motor Assessor you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage to determine cost-effective and safe repairs, while ensuring the best outcome for the customer and balancing the needs of the business. To achieve this, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with repairers, parts suppliers and other industry bodies as well as internal stakeholders within the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assess damage to vehicles and negotiate fair and reasonable cost outcomes for both the customer and client
- Write accurate assessment reports, negotiating correct scope & costs for vehicle repairs
- Manage expectations about repair duration and expected completion timeframes
- Build strong relationships with repairers, suppliers, and industry bodies
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have:
- Motor and/or heavy motor vehicle assessing experience preferable
- Trade qualifications in the panel beating/automotive spray-painting industry is a MUST
- Experience with quotiing and estimating is extremely helpful
- Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate resilience in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Competent computer skills - training provided on industry specific platforms
- A current and unrestricted driver’s licence
