Transport Refrigeration Services (TRS), a leader in the provision of services to the transport industry, is seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement & Purchasing team. This full-time management position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the procurement process and work collaboratively across various business functions to ensure efficiency and high-quality standards.
As the Procurement Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for overseeing the procurement team and managing the sourcing, shipping, and internal replenishment of all production and service item inventory. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
- Oversee the sourcing of materials and services to meet production and service requirements.
- Manage shipping and logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production and service needs.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide regular reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, ideally in a production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the manufacturing or service industry.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
