About the role

Aleez Homes Pty Ltd, a leading residential property developer, is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team in Hallam, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of our high-quality residential projects, working closely with our in-house architects and design team.

What you'll be doing

• Producing detailed architectural drawings and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software
• Interpreting design briefs and translating them into technical plans and specifications
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure designs meet all necessary requirements and regulations
• Assisting with the preparation of planning permit applications and other documentation
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
• Providing support and guidance to junior drafting team members as needed

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in architectural drafting or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an architectural draftsperson, preferably within the residential property development industry
• Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
• This position is open crucial due to the unique linguistic and cultural requirements of our client base, who are predominantly speakers of Hazaragi with limited English proficiency. This position aims to bridge the communication gap, ensuring accurate transmission of technical information, compliance with building codes, and maintaining positive client relationships. This role is essential for the success of our projects within a culturally diverse clientele, and it contributes to our commitment to effective communication and compliance in the construction industry.
