If so, the City of Perth is looking for enthusiastic Parks Operators to join our dedicated team!
The Opportunity
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of horticultural, landscaping, and turf management;
- Operating a wide range of horticultural equipment and machinery;
- Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained in a clean, safe, and workable condition;
- Preparing and planting garden beds and landscapes; and
- Mowing, brush-cutting, and edging parks, reserves, and open spaces.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in current horticultural practices and equipment use;
- An understanding of safe working practices and Work Health & Safety issues;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience working as part of a small team; and
- Manual work experience.
Possession of a Cert II or higher in Horticulture and ‘MR’ Class Driver’s License is also desirable.
Eligibility Requirements
At a minimum, you will have the following:
- ‘C’ Class Driver’s License;
- Construction Induction Card (White / Blue Card); and
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
