Kilmore Carpentry Pty Ltd is looking for a Carpenter to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated business with over 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry. Specializing in everything from small household projects to large-scale renovations, our team of licensed tradespeople are known for being reliable, friendly, and always punctual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing detailed plans and specifications to identify necessary materials, dimensions, and installation methods
• Sourcing and selecting suitable timber and materials, and preparing construction layouts
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as wood, plywood, wallboard, and others to create structures and fittings ready for installation
• Building frameworks, roof structures, sub-flooring, and floorboards, ensuring precision and structural stability
• Nailing fascia panels, covering roofs with sheathing, and installing exterior wall cladding, door frames, and window frames
• Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Utilizing various tools to cut wood joints, assemble parts, and guarantee proper alignment and quality in all installations
• Working with additional materials such as plastic laminates, perspex, and metals as needed
• Constructing and setting up concrete formwork for pours, including formwork

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a carpenter
• Excellent communication skills
• Construction white card
• Own driver’s license
• Completed Certificate III in Carpenter (optional)
