As an Internal Sales Representative, you’ll be at the heart of customer interactions, ensuring seamless service and support. You’ll handle sales inquiries, assist existing clients, and collaborate closely with the external sales team and warehouse staff. In addition to your sales responsibilities, you'll also provide support on the trade desk when needed. This role offers the perfect balance of customer engagement and operational support, allowing you to make a real impact within a growing and supportive team.

The Role

  • Drive sales growth by sourcing new opportunities, passing leads to Sales Representatives, and researching accounts to identify key players and generate interest.
  • Provide friendly and timely assistance to customers both over the counter and through phone inquiries, while managing internal customer requests and processing sales orders and quotes.
  • Oversee orders from start to finish, including sourcing and procuring products, purchasing, and ensuring timely delivery, as well as managing pricing and invoicing to meet preferred GP targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address queries, create and submit customer quotations, and ensure documentation is properly filed, including invoices, delivery dockets, and consignment notes.
  • Utilize EFTPOS for transactions and verify credit card payments to ensure smooth transactions.

About You

  • Fasteners, construction, or tooling knowledge is highly desirable
  • Background in sales or customer service is essential
  • A sincere enthusiasm for serving and assisting customers, driven by genuine interest and curiosity
  • You’re approachable, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile to assist both over the counter and on the phone
  • Actively seeks out new sales opportunities, takes initiative to research accounts, and works to hit targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Understands customer needs, recommends suitable solutions, and addresses inquiries quickly and efficiently.
  • Excels at managing multiple tasks, from processing orders to ensuring timely deliveries and keeping track of all paperwork.
  • Takes ownership of work, manages time effectively, and is motivated to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
