About the Program
Family Preservation works with vulnerable Aboriginal families where there is an identified risk of harm to children and young people. We work with the parent/s as well as children and young people to address the areas of their lives that are contributing to the risk.
This program provides families with continuous, multi-faceted, and individually tailored casework and assistance services for children aged 0-15 to help reduce risk for a period of up to 2 years.
About the Position
Muloobinba is seeking motivated Aboriginal people to join our team in our Family Preservation Program based in Singleton NSW 2330.
This caseworker position is full-time, 38 hours per week.
The program offers after-hours on-call support and is designed to keep families together safely, focusing on the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of the child and/or young children in a culturally appropriate environment.

Position Requirements
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- Up-to-date National Police Check
- NSW Driver's License
- Ability to participate in the on-call roster
- Confirmation of Aboriginality
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (minimum 2 doses)
Aboriginality is an essential criterion and is authorised under Section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
This position is classified as child-related employment and is subject to relevant employment screening.
Remuneration
Remuneration is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award. Salary sacrifice is offered in this position.
Salary range on commencement 83K-85K per year.
Wages can be negotiated with the successful applicant.

- Demonstrated experience working in case management of Aboriginal families and/or children and young people.
- Working knowledge of the Child Protection legislation (Child and Young Persons Care & Protection Act 1988) and how it pertains to Aboriginal children and families.
- Possession of or working towards a formal qualification in the area of social work, community services, or a relevant field.
