YFCC are seeking an innovative and passionate counsellor who is adaptive, values-driven, and committed to providing a professional and ethical approach to supporting individuals and families facing challenges related to substance misuse.   • Expertise in ATOD Issues: Knowledgeable in the challenges of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues, with the ability to work effectively with individuals and families.
  • Client-Centered Approach: Focus on improving health, social, and family functioning, fostering positive change for individuals and their loved ones.
  • Engaging and Supportive Attitude: Builds rapport through a caring, empathetic, and active approach, ensuring clients feel understood and supported throughout their recovery journey.
  • Regional Focus: Providing support across the North West region, demonstrating flexibility to meet diverse client needs in varying settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) therapeutic counselling to community members impacted by substance use
  • Undertake assessments with clients and provide supportive case management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social welfare or equivalent - Please call us to discuss your qualifications and experience if you are unsure
  • Experience in ATOD counselling
  • Current Driver’s License, National Police Check, and Working with Vulnerable People registration
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
