The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paediatric Physiotherapist to join the Early Links branch of our team in a full-time capacity. This role will be based out of either our Maitland or Kurri Kurri office and will service primarily either the Cessnock or Maitland region, with outreach as required. This role involves both clinic and community based therapy to best suit the needs of our clients.

For a recent graduate, this presents an opportunity to improve your skills in Paediatric Physiotherapy. For those experiences in paediatrics, this is an opportunity to develop or continue providing fulfilling therapy to children in need, amongst a dedicated team. We have a diverse caseload made up of all age groups across the paediatric spectrum, including infants and children with musculoskeletal, developmental, genetic and neurological conditions, which includes NDIS and private patients.

We’ll provide ongoing support and training through regular one to one supervision, discipline team meetings, professional development and external supervision to ensure that your goals and optimal patient outcomes are achieved.

As part of the Allied Health Professionals team, you’ll make a significant difference in the lives of individuals facing a range of developmental and physical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for children aged 0-18 years with developmental needs and disabilities.
  • Deliver physiotherapy interventions and work with families, carers, and educators to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals, service providers, and educators to support children’s developmental goals.
  • Maintain contemporary progress notes, accurate client records, and ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines.
  • Provide consultancy support to clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Meet billable targets and maintain professional knowledge in line with registration requirements.
  • Uphold ConnectAbility’s mission, values, and commitment to person-centred care.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Post-graduate experience working with a paediatric caseload (preferred but not essential, training will be provided).
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and engage families and clients.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence and the ability to travel across the Newcastle and Hunter region.

Why Join Us?

  • Meaningful Work: Play an integral role in empowering individuals and improving their quality of life.
  • Professional Growth: Access supervision, training, and opportunities to advance your skills in physiotherapy and disability support.
  • Supportive Environment: Be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, trust, and respect.
  • Employee Benefits: Enjoy salary packaging, employee assistance programs (EAP), and a focus on health and wellbeing.
