About the Role:

As an experienced Demand & Supply Planner, you’ll be responsible for creating & analysing demand forecasts, optimising inventory levels, and ensuring a balanced supply that meets business needs. In addition to excellent planning & stock management skills, you’ll need to be highly adept in communication & stakeholder management, as this role requires collaboration with your internal cross-functional colleagues (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics etc.) & external suppliers/freight forwarders to maintain efficiency, & minimise stockouts or overstock situations.

Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Demand Planning: Develop & maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, business projections & promotional requirements
  • Supply Planning: Ensure adequate stock levels by coordinating with sales, marketing, production, & suppliers to meet demand
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory turnover, minimise excess stock, & reduce overstock
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, &logistics teams to align demand forecasts with supply capabilities
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilise forecasting tools & ERP systems to generate reports on demand trends, stock levels, & supply chain performance
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery & optimise lead times
  • Chasing Suppliers & Freight Forwarders: Proactively follow up with suppliers & freight forwarders to track shipments, resolve delays, & ensure on-time delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify & implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency & reduce costs
  • Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks & develop contingency plans

What You Bring:

  • You are already based in Sydney with full Australia working rights
  • 5-10 years of experience in demand and supply planning, in FMCG or manufacturing
  • Tertiary qualifications in either Supply Chain Analytics or Analytics Engineering
  • Proficiency in ERP systems – experience in enterprise level ERP essential, demand forecasting tools, Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with attention to detail & accuracy
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, forecasting techniques
  • Strategic thinking & planning
  • Strong analytical &numerical skills
  • Ability to innovate as well as be solutions-oriented
  • High level of flexibility & a positive approach to the changing demands of a rapidly growing organisation
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of average costing & all the inventory movements that average costing changes affect
  • A knowledge & understanding of the use of seasonal indices in forecasting
