Our client is one of Australia's and New Zealand's top producers of metal packaging is our client. A skilled Maintenance Electrician is needed to join our clients engineering team at the aerosols can manufacturing business in Taree, New South Wales.

Crucial requirements
▪ A relevant trade qualification,.
▪ Proficiency in manufacturing premium consumer packaging for the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
▪ Experience with large machines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics; familiarity with PLCs, such as Allen Bradley, Omron, and Siemens S5 & S7.
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of gas-fired burners and controllers.
▪ High risk licenses, such as those for forklifts, confined spaces, and heights, are desired.
▪ A person who prioritizes safety.
▪ Unrestricted working rights in Australia

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of the plant assets
• Adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirements at work.
• Adopts the concepts of continuous improvement and quality management.
• Make sure that every step pertaining to work is documented and carried out as needed.
• Talk about and participate in the manufacturing processes of every machine on every line, and record any concerns brought up. Repair following team leader consultation.
• Take responsibility for big machine rebuilds and learn everything you can, especially when helping OEM staff.
• Comprehensive line inspections that find any worn or defective parts that need to be fixed
• In the event of a failure, collaborate with manufacturing technicians and other members of the engineering team to get the lines operating as soon as possible.
• ild repairable motors, pumps, and related machinery.
• Work closely with the production team to enhance machine reliability.
• Mentor and support junior engineering staff in their development.
• Occasionally respond to urgent breakdowns as part of a call-out team.
• Uphold and promote adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Champion LEAN principles and process standardization.
• Ensure all daily and scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain plant and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, supporting workplace safety and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of excellent housekeeping, ensuring everything is properly stored, labeled, and documented.

Work Schedule & Compensation

• The Taree aerosols manufacturing plant operates 24/7.
• The role requires flexibility to work rotating 8- or 12-hour shifts as part of a 5-, 6-, or 7-day roster, including weekends, in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
• This is a full-time position, offering a salary range of $80,000 - $117,000 per year, with potential for additional allowances and overtime.
• Candidates must be willing to work reasonable overtime as required.
