Part-Time Property Manager (12-Month Maternity Leave Contract)

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Property Manager to join their team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a Monday to Friday role with a total of 20 hours per week, offering work from home flexibility.

Based in the city fringe, you will oversee a small portfolio, managing the end-to-end property process. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless communication with owners, tenants, and contractors while maintaining strict compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act, including trust accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively market rental properties to attract quality tenants
  • Address and resolve escalated tenant and owner concerns
  • Schedule and conduct inspections, and manage tenancy agreements
  • Oversee all trust accounting functions, ensuring compliance with legislation

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Property Manager, overseeing a portfolio
  • Strong knowledge of trust accounting, daily banking, and end-of-month processing
  • Current SA Real Estate Certificate
  • Sound understanding of legislation and tenancy regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Snug, REI Forms or similar software (preferred)
  • Proficiency with RP Data, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Competency in resolving tenancy disputes, handling insurance claims, and representing cases at the Administrative Tribunal (as required by SA regulations)
