- Prepare, season, and cook food, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations.
- Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
- Preserve and store foods in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities, Cater for functions and walk-ins
- Menu planning and discussion of menu ideas with Management
- Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen, Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly, Monitor portion control and production flow
- Monitor stock, place orders, and receive goods on delivery, Check the quality of ingredients Adhering to WHS standards and procedures
- Mentor staff
- Training of new staff
REQUIREMENTS MANDATORY
To be considered for the role you should:
- Hold relevant qualifications (MINIMUM CERT IV)
- MINIMUM 2 years experience in similar cuisine
- Knowledge of making Indian curries from scratch.
- Knowledge of safe food handling procedures with relevant qualifications be able to work in both a team environment and individually
- Have a positive, proactive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
