About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fully Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Specialised Farm Machinery (SFM Qld) in Goondiwindi, Queensland. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the maintenance and repair of our diverse range of agricultural machinery and equipment, supporting our valued customers across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose, service and repair a wide variety of agricultural diesel-powered machinery, including tractors, harvesters, sprayers and other specialised farm equipment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, services, and inspections to keep our customers' equipment running at optimal performance
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed and parts used
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical advice to our farming clients
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all projects

What we're looking for

• Fully qualified diesel mechanic with experience in the agricultural machinery industry (preferred not essential)
• Comprehensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service
• A valid driver's licence
• The ability to work independently or effectively in a team environment
