Classroom Teacher – Humanities & English

Rate: AU$78,021 - AU$115,737 per annum + super

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join the team at a school near Dandenong. This full-time position is available to start immediately, with potential for an ongoing role.

In this position, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and inclusive Humanities and English educational. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and be able to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Duties:

• Building Supportive Relationships: Establish strong, supportive connections with students, encouraging their growth and confidence.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teaching assistants, specialists, and parents to support student progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour management strategies.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional learning to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lesson plans in Humanities and English to cater to diverse student needs.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:
• Relevant teaching qualification in Education
• Current and valid VIT registration
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to provide two education-based references from the last five years (student-teacher mentors acceptable)

Desired:
• Previous experience teaching Humanities and/Or English
