About the Role:
This amazing school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Classroom Teacher – English & Humanities to join their team. This full-time, fixed-term position will commence in Term 2, 2025. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in Humanities and English to students across a range of levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and will foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Duties:

• Building Supportive Relationships: Establish meaningful connections with students, encouraging growth and confidence.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, specialists, and parents to support student progress.
• Classroom Management: Create a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment, implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to improve teaching effectiveness and stay up-to-date with educational practices.
• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lesson plans in Humanities and English that meet diverse student needs.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:

• Relevant teaching qualification in Education
• Current and valid VIT registration
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to provide two education-based references from the past five years (student-teacher mentors acceptable)
