THE OPPORTUNITY:

Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a dynamic Producer, Public Programs to produce and deliver exceptional public programs and events aligned to Museums Victoria's vision, mission, and business objectives to engage and build our diverse audiences, with a core focus on Immigration Museum audiences.

Working as part of the Public Programs and Education team, the role requires a highly organised, responsive individual who is an excellent communicator and committed to exceptional audience experiences.

Key duties of this position include:

  1. Co-ordinate, develop and deliver an annual calendar of exceptional public programs, events and festivals, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, to ensure audience engagement objectives, experience outcomes and key business objectives are met.
  2. Develop stakeholder relationships, partnerships, and professional networks, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, to support the Museum and Public Programs department's objectives including opportunities to increase audience representation and visitation, and visibility, support and advocacy for programs and other initiatives.
  3. Demonstrate high-level administrative skills to coordinate logistics, manage timelines and budgets, and provide seamless communication between internal and external stakeholders. Maintain systems, procedures and schedules to ensure effective co-ordination of programs and events, and associated performance reporting.
  4. Lead and manage programming and event staff, ensuring effective collaboration and clear communication. Oversee team responsibilities, guide performance to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality programs and events.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify trends, gather audience insights, and refine program strategies to attract and engage culturally and socially diverse audiences. Initiate and monitor audience evaluation and program marketing, using data to continuously improve outcomes and ensure alignment with Museums Victoria's brand and quality standards.
  6. Contribute to a workplace culture that is diverse, innovative, responsive, inclusive, safe and which reflects Museums Victoria's values.
  7. Comply with Museum Victoria's policies and procedures and with relevant legislation and regulations including Child Safe Standards.

OTHER INFORMATION:

This role is a full-time, ongoing position and requires some weekend and evening availability and ability to work at our different museum locations. The salary on offer is $92,332 per annum (Base of grade) plus 11.5% superannuation.
