Pathways to Mental Health are looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage our Farm-Based Supported Independent Living service in Mcleans Ridges and our Community Access Support Team, delivering supports in participants homes or in the Northern Rivers community.

Pathways is looking for an experienced leader within supported independent living who has skills in rostering (in Deputy would be a bonus), who is interested in taking a key role in developing our new service and who has experience in working with psycho-social disability and neurodiverse participants. We are looking for someone who will actively engage all of our stakeholders and further develop our systems to ensure continuous improvement of our service.

Pathways to Mental Health provides supported independent living, community access and mental health nursing services in the Northern Rivers region. We support people to realise their potential by providing a natural environment and high standards of care. We offer many different pathways to recovery whilst maintaining wellness, independence and purpose.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop a team of support workers, ensuring that they provide person-centred, high quality care and uphold the values and policies of Pathways.
- Developing and reviewing support plans for individual participants to ensure that individual needs are continually met.
- Management of day-to-day operation with a focus on high quality service.
- Develop partnerships with all participant stakeholders
- Oversee and implement risk management plans, participant support plans, and WHS
- Support the induction and orientation processes for new team members
- Participate in the on-call roster on a rotational basis
- Ability to step into support shifts where required.
The person we are looking for will have:
- Experience in a leadership role
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management & interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload and competing demands
- An understanding of what it means to support in a way that respects participants rights, dignity, values, beliefs and personal goals
- Demonstrated experience within a supported independent living environment
- Experience with animals desirable (the SIL is home to 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 alpacas, 1 donkey, 2 ponies and 3 goats!)
- An understanding of the NDIS Quality Framework and NDIS funding with regard to quoting, rosters of care as well as plan reviews for individual participants.
- Unrestricted drivers licence
- All relevant checks including police, working with children and current first aid.
