About the role

PASO Medicine Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team in Moorabbin, VIC. In this crucial role, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our busy medical practice, playing a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling patient appointments, managing the clinic's appointments calendar, and sending appointment reminders
• Handling phone calls, booking appointments, and providing information to patients
• Completing patient registration and updating medical records
• Assisting with medical billing and processing payments
• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked reception area
• Supporting the clinical team as needed with administrative tasks
• Assisting Practice Manager with tasks as required.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
• Proficiency in using medical practice management software (Clinic to Cloud- preferred, not required) and Microsoft Office applications
• A friendly, empathetic, and discreet manner, with a commitment to patient confidentiality
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is highly desirable
