Role: Infrastructure Solution Specialist
Location: Melbourne
Salary: $150k – 180K + Super

MCR are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure specialist to lead the technical operations of data centers. In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee the stability, security, and expansion of complex infrastructure systems while coordinating with vendors and contractors.

The role

• Project Management & Coordination: Oversee and manage the rollout of additional infrastructure across multiple Melbourne data centers, coordinating closely with the MSP, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT infrastructure issues, offering hands-on expertise.
• Infrastructure Stability: Ensure the continuous uptime and stability of core IT systems, storage, networking, CCTV/security systems.
• Hands-On Problem Solving: Proactively identify and rectify faults/issues, and provide guidance to fellow team members across the APAC region.
• 24/7 Support: Take on-call responsibility for Severity 1/2/3 outages.

Requirements:

• Strong Project management/coordination skills.
• Previous Data Centre experience (Preferred) OR Mission Critical Facilities (expected)
• Experience of working in an ITIL environment is essential.
• Experience working in VMware, Storage technologies, Windows Servers & Cisco Networks.
• Excellent understanding of IT systems (Storage, Network, Servers, CCTV etc).
• Experience with strict change management protocols.
• Experienced in CCTV/security systems.
