Do you have experience in property or asset management and the ability to manage and monitor the performance of contractors? We are a highly reputed, and rapidly growing, not-for- profit organisation with offices in the New England North West region of New South Wales. We make it our business to create secure, affordable and sensitively managed housing opportunities for low income households, and due to continued growth throughout the organisation, we have a position available for a 6 Month Fixed-Term Technical Officer to join our Asset Team based in Tamworth.
We are looking for highly skilled, experienced individuals to support our tenants and internal teams in the maintenance of Homes North properties. Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting audits
- Property assessments
- General inspections to ensure asset upgrades on properties and reports
- Ensuring the timely turnaround of vacant properties.
- Managing and monitoring contractor performance
- Providing technical support and training to staff, including resolving any concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Quality assurance and service rendering activities
Who we are looking for
We are looking for people who have had experience in any of the following areas:
- Building/Construction or trade certification
- Demonstrated technical expertise in relation to building construction and building faults with the ability to identify issues or potential issues and the ability to suggest alternative methods or mitigation techniques;
- Experience negotiating with and monitoring contractors and vendors
- Coordinating of Repairs and maintenance
- Customer service experience would be advantageous.
