A rare greenfield procurement for a market leading manufacturing business. Based North of Melbourne, you will lead the end to end procurement function.

Client Details

Our client is a a market leading manufacturing business in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.

Description

- Management of factory stocktaking for the purposes of planning stock orders

- Creating orders and ordering stock from overseas suppliers

- Quality control with Suppliers including:

• Reporting faults with machine and discussing product improvements
• Managing improvements in future orders
• Warranty claims and replacements/reimbursements for suppliers where possible
• Reporting all Mechanical, design or pricing changes to the GM for approval
• Updating the Service Manager of any changes to existing or future machine orders
• Updating the factory manager or any batch changes requiring stock management.

- Liaising with Suppliers for the purposes of:

• Ordering stock
• Quality control
• Negotiating pricing and best lead-times
• New product research

- Booking FX deals and paying orders, in conjunction with finance function

- Arranging international freight and logistics

- Coordinating international freight and delivery times with Service Manager and assisting with installation plan management where required

- Assisting with Sales for Fiber laser/Press brake and range of machinery. Including:

• Answering the sales phone and discussion potions with customers
• Quoting customer
• Following up on quoted customer
• Converting and invoicing the sale

Profile

- Demonstrated experience in the procurement field, preferably from an engineering/manufacturing industry

- Strong track record in international sourcing

- Degree in Engineering or similar

- Able to be on site minimum 4 days per week

Job Offer

- $90,000 - $110,000 + super
