Building & Maintenance Services Weipa are looking to expand their construction team.

BMS Weipa PTY LTD is a growing Weipa Based Building Company located in the heart of Cape York Queensland that offers Building and Maintenance Services to the Industrial, Commercial, Defence and Residential sectors.

We have 2 positions available,

1. Maintenance Manager

This role will involve Scoping, Quoting, Scheduling & Completing various maintenance Jobs at a high standard around Weipa. A mature candidate could bring a lot of value to such a position due to qualities like: Experience, Reliability, Problem-solving skills, Work Ethic and Leadership. This role is a unique blend of hands-on carpentry work (50%) and office-related tasks (50%). The ideal candidate will be skilled in carpentry and comfortable balancing both on-site and administrative duties. Immediate start for the right Candidate.

2. Qualified Carpenter

In this role, the successful applicant will be working on a range of projects with your apprentice including full house renovations, bathrooms, decks and extensions, commercial and defence work. This role will involve all aspects of carpentry and building, ensuring work is completed at a high standard within timelines. Working with clients and subcontractors to deliver quality work around Weipa.

Must have:

• Cert III in Carpentry (Trade Qualified)
• Have strong experience in carpentry
• White Card
• WAH Trained & Ticketed
• Good work ethic & work well in a small team
• Positive get in and get it done attitude.
• Own tools (Freight covered to relocate tools)
• 2 Trade References
• Great organisational skills
• High attention to detail, finishes and quality workmanship

• OR FIFO from Cairns to Weipa with Flights + Accommodation provided for a rostered 3 Weeks on & 1 Week off Role. We will only cover flight costs from Cairns.
