Infrastructure and Cloud Manager – DevOps, GCP, GKE, Azure, Terraform. AD, Exchange, OnPrem

As an Engineering Manager - Cloud and Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 engineers who are developing and managing scalable, secure and high-performance cloud solutions across GCP, GKE, and Azure. You’ll help shape both the cloud architecture and engineering practices while leading the team through technical challenges and ensuring that the cloud infrastructure meets our operational goals and business needs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team working with cutting-edge cloud technologies, Kubernetes containerisation, and multi-cloud environments, while ensuring seamless integration, security, and optimisation. You will also oversee the current on-prem environment which is mostly Microsoft based.
Based from Sydney CBD 3 days per week, with 2 days WFH

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 2 years in an engineering management or leadership role.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure environments, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, VMs, Storage Accounts, and Azure Active Directory (AD).
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment and management across cloud environments (GKE, AKS).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates), and cloud automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
• Experience designing hybrid cloud architectures and working with multi-cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), network security, and best practices for securing cloud resources.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage diverse, technical groups.
• A passion for technology, cloud infrastructure, and continuous learning.
