Your new job includes

As a Design & Project Specialist, you will work in collaboration with the Senior Architect & Project Manager to effectively manage the architectural projects for our new and existing stores and all the related aspects of our brands installations. Your primary role will be to provide a high-level administrational assistance to the Senior Architect & Project Manager. You will also develop, spearhead and execute initiatives and proactively manage projects from start to end, as well as liaise with key internal/external stakeholders to enable change in our business and establish effective relationships.

As a Design & Project Specialist you will

  • Own projects lifecycle from initial site inspections to final handover, including operations, and completion of defects
  • Define project’s requirements, scope, budget and ensure projects are delivered accordingly
  • Manage design/construction process, reviews and sign-off between internal and external stakeholders
  • Confirm scope of project with stakeholders and obtain Authorities' approvals as required (including landlords, Airport Building Controller etc.)
  • Coordinate tender, analyze submissions and make recommendations to the Senior Architect & Project Manager
  • Provide technical advice on construction methodologies and project timelines
  • Liaise with Senior Architect & Project Manager re new store budgets, invoices approval/payment
  • Review and Approve Cat 1 costs - liaise with contractors and other parties to review and negotiate as required
  • Produce, communicate & maintain project timelines

What you should bring along

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management / Interior Design/ Architecture / Construction
  • 3+ years Design Coordination / Project Management experience
  • Experience in ArchiCAD / Retail fitout and MS Project – Highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, thoroughness, & administrational skills and especially the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills, including the ability to confidently liaise with key stakeholders (both internally & externally)
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Capacity to work without supervision, with minimal direction and also collaboratively in a team environment
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience in showing initiative and taking a proactive approach to all tasks
