Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts with a clear mission of empowering girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. The role:

• Process and reconcile a high volume of transactions in Xero in a timely/accurate manner ensuring accurate general ledger coding and gst treatment including processing Accounts Payable across multiple xero files
• Reconciliation of debit cards, bank accounts
• Process expense reimbursements
• Assist with finance functions such as financial month-end processes, annual budget processes, and audit preparation
• Liaise with volunteer members/stakeholders for prompt collection of information
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, members, and volunteers with finance-related questions
• Ad hoc finance administration projects as requested by the Finance Manager/CFO
• Work with a proven, experienced, and competent Finance team

Qualifications:

• A Diploma or Degree in Accounting

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar finance role and experience with accounting software Xero
• Advanced skills across Microsoft Office applications, and excellent written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational, communication and time management skills
• Experience in a membership/NFP organisation will be highly regarded
