Posted 25 days ago
The Queensland Government's Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) was established to meet the increasing demand for rail transport in South East Queensland over the next 10 years.
The QTMP will support South East Queensland's population and economic growth, as well as Cross River Rail and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Program will build 65 new six-car passenger trains at a purpose-built train manufacturing facility at Torbanlea, in the Fraser Coast region.
As part of the program a new rail facility, for train maintenance and stabling, will also be constructed at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region. In June 2023, Downer was awarded the contract to deliver QTMP.
In the role of Manager (Commercial and Contracts) you will manage the implementation, administration, review and monitoring of the commercial contract with a specific focus on the payment and performance regime for QTMP. Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and develop a team managing contracts, allocating resources, and supporting career development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure contract compliance.
• Analyse contract performance and recommend strategies for improvement to senior executives.
• Lead contract negotiations, procure new services, and ensure clear contractual documentation.
