Melbourne Sports Institute is recruiting sports coaches and umpires for Inter School Sport Competition across Melbourne.

OVERVIEW OF THE EMPLOYMENT PROCESS:

Coaching and umpiring positions, along with fixture details, will be provided to staff before the start of the Term, aligning with Victorian term dates.

Positions are available Monday-Friday before, during and after school hours and Saturday morning’s (excluding school holidays)

Due to a high number of umpiring fixtures, availability updates will be sent weekly.

You will be notified of availabilities via email and text message, which will include information such as location, day, date, time and pay rate of the position.

Following this, you will receive a reply indicating whether your application was successful.

Staff will receive a confirmation text message the day before their scheduled shift to confirm their attendance.

Payment:

• All coaching positions and umpiring fixtures are paid
• Umpiring is considered non-taxable income
• Coaching is taxable income
• Coaching staff are paid minimum 2 hours for all sessions
• Coaches receive superannuation payment

Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Victorian Working with Children Check
• Specialised knowledge and experience in their selected sport/s will be highly regarded
• Those with an elite level of playing experience are also strongly encouraged to apply
