Automotive Quality Inspectors

RMA Automotive Australia Pty Ltd has been engaged by Ford Motor Company of Australia Ltd to re-manufacture the Ford F150 pick up truck from left hand drive to right hand drive at its facility in Mickleham, north of Melbourne. This exciting new venture, involving the USA's top selling vehicle, requires experienced Automotive Quality Inspectors to support the team in bringing the iconic Ford F150 to customers in Australia.

The Role:

We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Automotive Quality Inspectors.

Reporting to the Quality Manager this is a critical and dynamic ‘hands on’ manufacturing based role. These are full time ongoing day shift (7:00am-3:30pm) positions.

The key responsibilities include:

• Performing visual inspection of vehicles using quality checklists to ensure quality standards are being met;
• Quality assurance and control; and
• Performing objective measurements, include Torque, Force, Gaps and Flushness.

Who You Are:

• You must possess practical knowledge and experience in quality inspection in the automotive industry or related manufacturing industry.
• You must hold a current full driver’s license in order to road test vehicles.
• You have experience in the use of digital data recording, reporting and are highly computer literate.
• Capable of using simple hand tools eg. torque wrenches.
• You possess strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
• You are a strong effective communicator who collaborates and works well with colleagues, production operators, the Quality Team, and other employees.
• You are committed to delivering quality and safety outcomes with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• You are a self starting team player, who can achieve timing deadlines, and you have strong attention to detail.
• You are familiar and comfortable with working in shop floor roles in a busy production environment.
