As the sole distributor for several global brands in Australia, we are committed to offering high-quality products while optimizing our procurement and supply chain processes.
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of IT accessories to ensure cost-effective and high-quality product sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.
• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement policies to ensure efficiency, cost savings, and reliability in the supply chain.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Inventory Planning: Collaborate with the Supply and Distribution Manager to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
• Market Research & Trend Analysis: Monitor industry trends, new product innovations, and pricing strategies to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Supplier Performance Evaluation: Assess vendor performance based on cost, reliability, and product quality, making recommendations for improvement where needed.
• Import & Compliance: Ensure that all purchased goods comply with Australian import regulations and international trade laws.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Work within allocated budgets to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining product quality.
• Process Optimization: Improve purchasing workflows, implementing automation and digital tools where applicable.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in IT accessories, consumer electronics, or e-commerce, at least 1 year's managerial-level experience is a MUST.
• Technical Skills:
o Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, and supplier management tools.
o Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, supplier sourcing, and contract negotiations.
o Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and global logistics processes.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
o Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
o Experience in cross-border procurement and supplier audits.
o Knowledge of IT peripherals and consumer electronics supply chains.
o Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, APICS, or ISM) is a plus.
