IWA Australia is seeking a part-time SQW Coordinator to join our Settlement Team. This is a fixed term part-time 40 hours per fortnight position based in Logan.
The main tasks will include
Program Development and Implementation
- Ensure the Skilling Queenslanders for Work contractual requirements are delivered in accordance with IWA’s philosophy and quality standards.
- Manage the effective development, implementation and refinement of specific projects, program activities and initiatives that target identified employment, training and education needs of participants.
- Liaise with employers and training organisations to develop employment and training opportunities for job seekers and program participants.
- Participate in forward planning processes to ensure effective delivery of training, employment and related programs that meet skill needs of job seekers and employers/ industry.
- Identify client data such as skills, abilities, employment history, realistic and relevant employment opportunities and potential barriers / difficulties to employment, labour market demand for individual clients’ employment goal, and clients’ motivation and willingness to succeed in achieving their employment goals.
- Assist clients to become job ready including updating Resumes and support with job search and interview skills.
Administration and Reporting
- Ensure completion of all program reporting and monitor the quality and timeliness of reports produced;
- Collect, analyse and report on data/information collected through various means including meetings, reports, statistics, data collection (internal and external) and other documents
Financial:
- Work with the finance team to Monitor the SQW budget to ensure that expenditure is in line with the budgeted figures.
- Other duties as requested by the manager.
Key Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), or other relevant training qualification.
- Proven ability to deliver effective training consistently within a curriculum and against specific outcomes and to customise training in accordance with participants’ backgrounds and learning styles.
- Sound knowledge of job search techniques and practices as well as experience in delivering employability skills training.
- Ability to liaise with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to engage, motivate and coach participants to reach their potential goals.
- Well-developed organisational skills, flexibility, ability to work under minimal supervision, advanced computer skills.
- Demonstrated experience in contract and compliance management including the capacity to focus on and achieve strong outcomes and/or objectives, and to meet targets and timelines reporting.
The successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver’s license, a police check, and a Working with Children Check / Blue Card.
