About the role:
TAFE Gippsland is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Mental Health & AOD professional to take on the role of Teacher Mental Health & AOD to deliver the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs and the Certificate IV in Mental Health, based at our Traralgon Campus. As a Teacher in Mental Health & AOD, you will guide students, providing mentorship and support to ensure they gain the essential skills and knowledge for a thriving career in the Mental Health industry. Other key elements of the role include developing current industry course materials, delivering high quality training and assessment, and performing educational administration tasks.
Mandatory requirements:
- Note: Whilst it is a mandatory requirement for all teaching staff to possess this qualification, it is not a prerequisite to apply for this role. Support will be provided to the successful applicant upon commencement of employment, including financial sponsorship to complete the qualification, a paid workday per week to attend any classroom-based TAFE Gippsland course and the provision of a mentor to assist your transition from Industry to Teaching.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent
- Appropriate industry qualification
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (no older than 12 months)
- Current Driver’s Licence
