My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Perth CBD. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of in-house sustaining capital engineering projects related to mine sites. You will play a key role in the successful execution of Mineral Process Plant and Bulk Material Handling projects, ensuring efficient and innovative solutions that align with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver mechanical engineering designs, with a focus on Mineral Process Plant and Bulk Material Handling.
• Oversee the preparation of engineering documentation, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide technical leadership and support across a range of ongoing engineering projects for mine sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
• Conduct detailed analysis, including system modeling, to optimize plant operations and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while delivering engineering solutions.
• Support project proposals and offer technical expertise to enhance project outcomes.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the mining industry.
• Proven experience in designing and managing projects related to Mineral Process Plants and Bulk Material Handling.
• Expertise in mechanical systems design, layout, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of mining operations.
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, including providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software tools and design programs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
