Dog Walker Wanted – Join Our Friendly, Established Team!

Balmain Dog Walkers is looking for an experienced, reliable, and friendly dog walker to join our team. We’ve been providing top-quality dog walking services for 12 years and have built an excellent reputation for keeping both dogs and their humans happy.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to work outdoors, surrounded by well-trained, social, and happy dogs, all while enjoying stunning harbourside parks, fresh sea breezes, and swim spots. Unlike many dog walking businesses, our clients are located close together, meaning less time driving and more time enjoying the park with the dogs. You do not have to deal with stressful Sydney traffic in this job!

The Role:

• Walking small groups (up to 4) of well-socialized, trained dogs with great temperaments.
• Mostly off-leash walks in beautiful local parks.
• Start time: 9:00 am, usually finishing around 2:45 pm (with some flexibility based on weather).
• 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
• Contractor position – ABN required.
• Pay: $28–$33 per hour, plus a fuel allowance.
• Start ASAP. Minimum 9-month commitment required.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A true dog lover who is confident handling small to large dogs.
• Responsible, punctual, and reliable, with great attention to safety.
• Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons (walks are adjusted for extreme weather).
• Owns a safe and suitable vehicle for transporting dogs to/from the park.
• Valid Australian driver’s license (manual driving skills are a plus).
• Can communicate well, take fun dog photos/videos for clients and social media.
• Experience or studies in animal behaviour, vet nursing, or a related field is a bonus but not essential.
