Reed Group are in an exciting growth phase and are seeking their first People & Culture Manager to establish the P&C function and support the business to grow sustainably through cultural transformation and people operations. Reporting to the CEO, this person will both ensure operational excellence across all aspects of HR, whilst also cultivating a culture based on the organisations’ Vision and Values.
As the sole HR practitioner in the business, this is a fantastic role for a HR professional who enjoys a broad and varied role.
What you will do:
- Drive a positive and high-performance workplace culture, ensuring Reed becomes an Employer of Choice in the trades industry
- Design and implement a suite of People and Culture strategies to assist the business in meeting its’ vision and growth plans
- Promote diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives to support women and underrepresented groups in trades
- Manage workplace safety and well-being programs
- Attract and select high performing talent across trade and corporate roles
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies & procedures to ensure legal compliance
- Design and implement a Learning and Development program, including overseeing the Apprenticeship program
- Develop competency matrices that align to L&D strategies and performance review processes
- Manage operational and administrative processes across the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding.
What you will bring:
- A passion for creating great places to work
- Experience in a HR leadership role, ideally in trades, construction or a related industry
- Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and relevant employment legislation
- Illustrated experience implementing people-strategies that have a positive impact on organisational culture
- Strong communication, negotiation and coaching skills
- Experience implementing HRIS systems and creating HR policies and procedures.
