About Our Client
Highly respected provider of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Respite Accommodation (MTA) for NDIS participants and their families across the Sydney area specifically around the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs.
About the Role
As a Team Leader you will provide direct support to participants in their daily activities while managing critical tasks including rostering, appointments and home supplies. You will be managing a team of Support Workers and be the gap between the team and the SIL Manager.
The role offers a path for professional development within the disability support sector, with the potential for advancement as you gain experience managing multiple homes and increasing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfil all duties of a Disability Support Worker as well as managing the team in terms of rostering and coordination.
- On call requirements outside of regular shift hours and weekends.
- Oversee home operations in ensuring participants care plans are followed and maintaining compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in a health-related discipline (e.g. Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, Social Work).
- Comprehensive knowledge of NDIS frameworks, Quality and Safeguarding standards.
- Experience working with people with disabilities NDIS participants
- Previous
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse communities.
Additional Information
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and undertaking a National police checks.
- Ability to speak a second language is desirable.
