About the role
Day to day you will be:
- Assisting our lawyers in preparing legal correspondence, briefs, documents, memos, and file notes using various skills such as word processing, audio typing, and document management.
- Facilitating effective internal and external communications.
- Managing electronic and physical filing systems, including daily filing, monitoring file activities, and archiving.
- Supporting lawyers with work management tasks such as tracking appointments, deadlines, and Court appearances.
- Providing secretarial and administrative relief.
- Offering reception backup for incoming calls and general tasks.
- Providing general administrative assistance as needed.
- Contributing to office housekeeping tasks and assist with event planning and marketing initiatives.

- Excellent communication skills with clients, lawyers, and colleagues.
- Proficient in telephone communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Handling of confidential and sensitive matters.
- Flexible approach to work arrangements and starting times.
- Commitment to maintaining high performance and professionalism.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Software.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary.
- Familiarity with legal management software (e.g., Lexis Affinity).
- Experience using Court portals.
